The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in partnership with IHMCL has introduced the FASTag Annual Pass 2025 for private vehicle owners. This new prepaid option is designed to make highway travel more convenient and affordable, especially for frequent travelers.

With a one-time payment of ₹3,000, private vehicle owners can enjoy up to 200 toll-free trips or 1 year of unlimited travel—whichever comes first—on designated National Highways (NH) and National Expressways (NE).

Where is the Annual Pass Valid?
The Annual FASTag Pass is applicable only at toll booths managed on National Highways (NH) and National Expressways (NE). On the other hand, when used at state highways, municipal or locally managed toll plazas, or parking facilities, it will work just like a regular FASTag, and the applicable standard toll charges will be deducted for each trip.
Usage & Rules
- Trip Count: Each toll crossing = 1 trip; for closed-loop expressways, one entry-exit cycle counts as 1 trip.
- SMS Alerts: Users get notifications about pass usage and updates.
- Non-Transferable: The pass is vehicle-specific and cannot be shifted to another FASTag or vehicle.
- Chassis-Linked Tags: Not eligible. The FASTag must have a valid VRN.
- Misuse Warning: If used on commercial vehicles, the pass will be cancelled.
